Production freight is not ordinary freight

A set that arrives the day after the build call is worse than no set at all. Film, television and commercial production runs to dates that were fixed weeks ago by somebody else, and the things being moved are usually one-off — a built flat, a dressed piece, a hero prop. If it is damaged or late, it cannot simply be re-ordered.

Invicta Couriers moves sets, scenery, props, set dressing and production equipment to studio, workshop, unit base or location. We already deliver finished sets to site for a Kent set-building company, so the shape of the work is familiar: awkward, part-assembled, heavier than it looks, and needed on a particular morning.

Your load travels on its own

Every job goes on a dedicated vehicle. Nothing is consolidated with another customer’s freight, nothing sits overnight in a depot, and nothing is transferred between vehicles at a hub. It is collected, and it is driven to where it is going. For a piece of scenery that exists exactly once, that matters more than the price per mile.

Awkward and oversized items are routine for us — see our large item courier service — and genuinely fragile pieces are handled as delicate goods rather than as parcels.

Where we work

We are based in Whitstable, Kent, and we work across the UK. Kent, the South East and the London studios are on our doorstep. Beyond that we take long-distance and point-to-point runs anywhere in the country.

What we are not is a local van in every town: a short hop between two addresses a long way from Kent is usually better served by an operator based there. Ask us anyway — if we are not the right firm for a particular job we will say so.
