What we carry
Anything that has to stay at a set temperature on the way, for example:
- fresh food, dairy and baked goods;
- frozen food, including seafood and ice cream;
- samples of fresh produce and food for growers, manufacturers and their buyers;
- pharmaceutical products, medical supplies and laboratory samples;
- specialist goods such as electronics, fine art and even bees.
Medicines and medical deliveries have their own page: pharmaceutical and medical courier. If your goods don’t need temperature control, our same-day courier service is the better fit.
How your load stays at the right temperature
- The right van for the job. Our fleet covers −20°C to +20°C. Many of our fridge vans have two compartments, so chilled and ambient goods, or chilled and frozen goods, can travel in the same van.
- Cold before you load. We pre-chill the van before your goods go in. Curtains in the load space and short door openings keep the cold in.
- Logged and watched. Every refrigerated van has a temperature logger. Our office monitors and logs temperatures through the vehicle trackers. If the temperature moves outside its set range, the system raises an alert automatically.
- A record for your files. We can give you a printed temperature report for the journey.
- Certified and maintained. Every refrigerated van is ATP-certified (ATP is the international standard for vehicles that carry perishable food), and our fridge units are serviced and calibrated.
Why does pre-chilling matter so much? We explain in It’s Not the Fridge That Keeps Your Load Cold. For the wider picture, read our guide to temperature-controlled courier delivery.
Same day, or on a schedule
For urgent work, call us during office hours, Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and we’ll do our best to collect the same day. Jobs run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
For regular work, we run scheduled collections on the days and at the times you need.
You can have a van just for your goods, or a shared load, which costs less.
Our refrigerated vans are up to 3.5 tonnes GWT. We hold an operator’s licence, so larger vehicles are possible on request.
Where we go
We collect all over Kent. We agree a collection time with you and send a driver to be there at that time, not necessarily from our base. Much of our work runs into London and the South East, and for the right job we travel anywhere in mainland UK.
Who uses us
Anyone who needs goods kept at the right temperature on the way from A to B, whether it’s a one-off urgent delivery or regular work.
We take samples of fresh produce from many Kent growers to destinations all over the country. Many customers have used us for years: one has sent its samples with us since 2004, because we could offer temperature-controlled vans with constant monitoring.
We’ve been in business since 1996, and we’re FORS Silver accredited.
Questions we’re often asked
Can you collect today?
Often, yes. Call 01227 773030 during office hours, Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and we’ll do our best to make it work. Tell us what needs moving, the temperature it needs and where it’s going.
What temperatures can you carry at?
Anything from −20°C, for frozen goods, to +20°C. Tell us the temperature your goods need when you book, and we’ll choose the van to match.
Can chilled and frozen goods travel together?
Yes. Many of our fridge vans have two compartments, so chilled and frozen goods, or chilled and ambient goods, can go in the same van.
How will I know the temperature held?
Every refrigerated van has a temperature logger, and our office monitors temperatures through the vehicle trackers. If the temperature leaves its set range, the system raises an alert. We can give you a printed temperature report for the journey.
Can I check where my delivery is?
Yes. Our vans are tracked live, and our drivers record proof of delivery in an app. Call our office at any time for an update, or for a copy of the proof of delivery.
Is the van just for my goods?
It can be. We offer a dedicated van just for your goods, or a shared load, which costs less.
Do you carry medicines and medical samples?
Yes. Our pharmaceutical and medical courier page explains how we handle them.
How is the price worked out?
Every job is priced individually. The main factors are the distance, the type of vehicle (which affects the fuel cost) and the time we estimate the job will take. A shared load costs less than a dedicated van. Tell us what you’re moving and where, and our transport team will come straight back to you with a price.
How far will you travel?
Anywhere in mainland UK for the right job. We collect all over Kent, and much of our work runs into London and the South East.
